We all have to start at the bottom if we want to know about a particular subject.
The majority of lottery players pick their numbers at random – we have all done it and even still do it. Of course random picking of numbers works and wins. But does it for you?
I am not going to hark on about the millions of different combinations there are or the 30,000,000 different people who play each week or even the 37,000,000 who play on roll-over weeks. Everyone thinks differently – everyone has numbers that they relate to – birthdays, anniversaries, door numbers, telephone numbers, special occasion days. People mark their cards in patterns, take numbers out of a hat or washing machine or whatever. Let’s have none of that.

Let’s talk of a minute about horses, football and the like. If you put the Derby winner in a selling race who should win? Of course the Derby winner. If you put 2 football teams together such as the leader of the Premiership and the bottom team of the 2nd Division, it is more than likely that the Premiership team would win! I know this is going to an extreme but I am trying to make a point.
So if you were to bet on 16 numbers in the Lottery and your nearest and dearest bet on 6 numbers, who is more likely to win? YES! YOU! AND WHY! Because you bring the odds down against you.
You know that you can pick 16 numbers, use a wheeling system that gives you the best chance of selecting 6 from these 16 and have lots more chances to win. You also know that it is pretty pathetic to bet on numbers that are cold whereas numbers that are appearing on a regular basis should be chosen.
Just by cutting out 1 number from your selections you know the odds are down from 13,983,816 to 12,271,512, you have just lopped off about 1,7000,000.
Now that is an advantage – then when you wheel your numbers you can bring the odds against you, in some cases, to an incredible 5,000 to 1. So you are about 2,800 times more likely to win.

All you have to do is study the statistics for a while. You will start to realise that there are ways to beat the Lottery – not just play the Lottery.
