So, You Want To Make A Living Without A Job

We all dream of making a living without having to go to a job everyday, right? You know, not having to go to work everyday so you can spend more time with our family, fishing, or on the golf course. Whatever you spend your free time doing always seems more enjoyable and fulfilling than going to a job. Why the heck is that?

I think it's simply because most of the time we end up doing whatever it is we do for a living for the wrong reasons. We don't do our job because we love the work; we do it because we feel we have no other choice. I know how it is. That paycheck is very hard to walk away from. The problem becomes that if you're ever going to be truly free you have to walk away or at least start moving in the proper direction.

At the end of the day we all realize this, but then the problem becomes what exactly it is we're going to do to put food on the table. This is where fear first begins to set in. We begin to think excessively about this dilemma and many times the fear becomes so great that we just say to ourselves, 'screw it, the job isn't that bad'. And we end up right back in the same predicament a couple of months or years later. I know for myself there have been times that I felt as if I were walking on a huge hamster wheel made for humans. Just going round and round, but not actually arriving anywhere.

But for some reason there's always that little voice in your head that tells you that you can do it. That you can step off of the hamster wheel and figure out how to make a living without having to go to a job everyday. So you continue searching.

And that's probably the key. To continue searching for the answer to this all important question, because you know that other people have achieved the dream of making a living without a job and you can to. There's probably a reason that Jesus said in the Bible, "With God, ALL things are possible", although far be it for me to figure out what that statement means to you. All I know for sure is that if that statement doesn't give you at least a tiny bit of hope, maybe making a living without a job isn't your best plan of attack.
