Playing Your Business Cards Right

The problem with having a poor image for your business stems from different factors, one of which is your poor and unprofessional marketing collaterals such as your brochures and business cards.

But let's focus on your business cards.

Most business images that are inadequately promoted starts with their business cards. It is so often that you'll see business card printing pieces that lack an effective logo to start with. Then there's the uninteresting and unclear message. And not to mention that the design and layout is so ordinary that nothing about it sets it apart from the competition.

Obviously, business cards like these ones reflect a poorly marketed image, as well as a clear view of a failing business.

Often, business owners and top officers of a company do not see most mistakes just because they don't look at their business through their clients' eyes. They think of and see only their business 24/7 that they have a narrow look at things most of the time.

This is the most common mistake. The result can devastate any business even if you're a small company or part of the Fortune 500.

As always, how people judge a person by their first glimpse is also the same with a business image. Negative impressions such as unprofessional or confusing, or even unreliable – these things can destroy a business with people trying to avoid it and eventually going to the competition.

But this does not mean that the other company is better. It's just that, the competition did a better job of promoting a better company image, as well as its own brand of unique qualities. They were better than you at playing their business cards right.

You have to have a goal then – to achieve a better marketing image with your business cards. With a strong and precise message that clearly defines what you can give your clients can better help you to come up with a powerful print card that represents your kind of brand.

The message should build, as well as encourage a stronger bond between you and your clients. In addition to using elements that make your business cards verbally and visually appealing, your message should be easily understood.

The bottom line then is to improve your marketing image by playing your business cards right. A successful print card means more chances of clients pouring in to provide you with your profits.
